Brekeley Weddings - William & Mary, October 27, 2007~ A Julia Morgan Elegant Wedding

Our favorite Full Planning wedding of 2007 has got to be Mary and Bill’s wedding at the Berkeley City Club. Being great admirers of Julia Morgan’s Architecture Mary and Bill were overjoyed when we booked the Berkeley City Club as the venue for their inspirational wedding. The Berkeley City Club is listed in the Berkeley Designated Landmark #2, 1975, California State Landmark #908, 1977 and the National Register of Historic Places, 1977. This beautiful Berkeley City Club building was designed and built in 1929 by architect Julia Morgan who was the architect of “Hearst Castle” in San Simeon, CA. The building gothic columns and romantic archways was the perfect setting for Mary’s Victorian/Earthy tone wedding.

I loved working with Mary to make her vision a reality. I first thing I did after we booked the venue was to contacted all my favorite vendors who NEVER disappoint, flowers - Nicole Ha, Stationary/Paper - Cards de luxe, Photography – Muse Studios, Makeup - Sherrie Long, Cake – La Farine Bakery, Lighting - Got Light, Favors - Cosmic Chocolate and for rentals we contacted Classic Party Rentals. Mary and Bill’s wedding was a truly unforgettable event.
